Licensing Overview

The MTA Licensing Program encourages manufacturers to produce and market products that make creative use of MTA intellectual property, including the many familiar and historic elements of Grand Central Terminal.

MTA Officially Licensed products are unique extensions of the MTA brand. The historic icons of the brand — from Grand Central Terminal to subway route symbols and the many incarnations of the subway token — are recognized and loved by the world over.

The scope of the brand’s imagery of Grand Central Terminal includes such iconic architectural splendor as the golden Information Booth Clock, the Main Concourse celestial ceiling, and the Tiffany Clock facing Park Avenue.

Authorized licensees have the opportunity for their licensed merchandise to be sold through the MTA’s New York Transit Museum stores (one of which is in Grand Central Terminal) as well as their online store.
